Alan Grayson – Jackass of Democratic Party

I sometimes wondered why the Democrats have the jackass as their mascot. After watching Rep. Alan Grayson, I now know why.

This guy has been compared to Joe Wilson—a comparison I cannot see. Unlike Wilson, Grayson was given a chance to voice his opinion; Joe was not. Grayson had every right to say what he said and I don’t expect him to apologize for it.

I still think he’s a jackass.

It’s because of Democrats like Grayson that nobody takes the Left seriously. The Left does not wish to engage in honest debate. It simply wants to demonize the opposing side, as Grayson did in his remarks on healthcare reform. According to the Left, those who oppose healthcare reform are fear mongers who could care less if someone dies without health insurance, and those who protest healthcare reform are backwards hillbilly rednecks who have been fed misinformation by neoconservative blowhards.

And the same demonization of the Right can be seen in other debates. Those who oppose abortion are patriarchal chauvinists who wish to turn women into cattle. Those who oppose illegal immigration are xenophobic racists who wish to keep America racially pure. Those who oppose same-sex marriage are homophobic bigots who don’t really care about family values. Those who disagree with church-and-state issues are Bible-thumpers who wish to establish a theocracy. And the list can go on.

If Grayson wanted to engage in honest debate, he would have addressed real issues posed by the Right. Instead, he made a jackass out of himself by demonizing the Right. But then again, that’s what the Left usually does.

The Cleveland Show (a.k.a. the Black Family Guy)

“What the Hell? He's getting his own show?” – Stewie Griffin

What words best describe The Cleveland Show?

Perhaps it’s the words of Cleveland’s stepdaughter Roberta, who tells Cleveland that he annoys her “like when white people make a show they think black people will watch.” Could she have been referring to this show?

Seriously, Did Fox need another animated series by Seth McFarlane? Wasn’t Family Guy and American Dad enough. Maybe Fox should just cancel The Simpsons and replace it with reruns of Family Guy. Then they can rename their Sunday night block “Seth McFarlane’s Domination.”

The Cleveland Show is supposed to be a spin-off of Family Guy, but it’s more of a clone. The show may have different characters set in a different location, but it still uses the same cutaway gags, same pop culture references, and same character types as Family Guy uses. Heck, let’s just call it Black Family Guy, because that’s exactly what it is.

At least American Dad was somewhat original.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this show lasts only one season. I’d be surprised if it lasted half a season. Seth McFarlane just isn’t funny anymore, and this series proves he’s in serious denial.

Public School Kids Sing Praises to Obama

I’m sure everyone has seen this video by now:

The children in this video were from B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ. They were required to attend this official school activity, and they did so while facing a large poster of Obama.

Does this remind anyone else of the Hitler Youth, or is that just me?

Anyway, let’s analyze the lyrics to this song:

Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again

Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance

These are the only set of lyrics I agree with. It is our responsibility—not just that of the president or government—to restore this country to its former glory.

I just wish they didn’t associate the message with Obama. Why did the kids have to give all the credit to him anyway? Why couldn’t they just sing about lending a hand, or ensuring equal pay for everyone, or taking a stand?

If it was a simple song about helping America, I wouldn’t complain. The fact this song repeats Obama’s name over and over again proves it’s pro-Obama propaganda being force fed to these children.

Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight

Where have I heard those lyrics before? Oh yeah! They’re the lyrics to “Jesus Loves the Little Children!”

It’s true, kids: Obama is our blessed Lord and Savior. So let’s sing praises to him and feed his Messiah complex!

Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

What accomplishments? He hasn’t done anything! He hasn’t fixed the economy, he hasn’t ended the war, and he hasn’t reformed healthcare. So what “great accomplishments” are there to shout “horray” for?

And what’s with doth? Are we living in the age of Shakespeare?

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

News flash: Obama is only half-black.

I would consider him African-American, but if people insist on playing the race card whenever he comes under criticism, I won’t. He’ll only be half-black in my eyes.

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country's economy number one again!

Kind of vain to suggest that one man is responsible for fixing the economy? What happened to “let’s all lend a hand” and “we must take a stand?” I guess those lyrics really mean “let’s all lend a hand for Obama” and “We must all take a stand for Obama.”

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

No kids, you only stand for the Americans who love Obama. Then again, that seems to be the point of this song.

So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
So here's a hearty hip-hooray ----
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

If it seems like I’m just ranting, allow me to put it this way: If the same group of elementary school children had been required to sing praises to Bush while gazing upon a large poster of him, what would the Bush-hating liberals say about that?

A lot.

Late Night Lampoons Libyan Loony

Sorry I haven’t posted anything lately. I’ve been busy searching for a job. So I haven’t had time to keep up with the news. I’ll try to get back on track later this week. In the meantime, here’s a clip from the Tonight Show making fun of the Libyan lunatic Muammar al-Gaddafi.

I don’t see why we should ridicule this guy. Sure he rambled on incoherently for 90 minutes, but he managed to make a few good points. Granted, he never mentioned the released Lockerbie bomber (whom his country welcomed home as a hero); but how could he when there were more important topics to discuss like how swine flu is a man-made disease, or how Israelis may have assassinated JFK, or how the Taliban isn’t as evil as we think it is.

Daily Show’s John Stewart Admits ACORN is Wrong; Fox News is Right

I know this segment of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart is over a week old. But I have to comment on it.

This had to be a painful moment for Jon Stewart. The leftist host actually had to admit that a leftist organization is (gasp) corrupt. And after making fun of Fox New for years, he especially had to be pained to admit that the network was right for once.

Course Fox is loving this! There has to be some way to turn this story around and make Fox News look stupid.

Sorry, Jon: No way to spin this story to your favor. This time, the right-wing Fox News is right.

For the Lulz: Bert is Evil…Because He Likes Bush?

Recently stumbled across this video (apparently an old one) on YouTube, which follows the Bert is Evil fad of the late nineties:

The maker of this video is obviously a Democrat!

I can understand the humor behind portraying Bert as a Nazi sympathizer, but what’s with portraying him as a Bush supporter? That’s not evil—crazy, perhaps, but not evil.

I can’t picture Bert supporting Bush. Bush has the personality (and mentality) of Ernie, and we all know how Bert feels about Ernie.

And we all know about Bush’s position on gay marriage. Just kidding! We all know Bert and Ernie are not gay.

Religion – The Atheist’s Scapegoat

The arrest of Phillip Garrido, the man accused of kidnapping Jaycee Dugard and holding her captive in his backyard for 18 years while sexually abusing her, unveiled just how depraved mankind can be. It also unveils how insecure mankind can be, revealing its need to blame someone or something for its problems.

A recent USA Today article reports how Garrido was a fervently religious man who often shared his faith with his victims and even defended his criminal acts with his religious beliefs:

Molesters commonly turn to religion to rationalize their behavior, said Ken Lanning, a former FBI profiler who specializes in kidnapping and child abuse cases.

"A lot of them when they're molesting children put a lot of time and energy into trying to convince themselves that they're not bad people," Lanning said. "In some cases the element of religion will come into it, and they will use varying aspects of their religious belief to justify all of this."

That a criminal would use religion to defend his crimes is not surprising. That such a criminal would be used as an example of the “evils” of religion is also not surprising, as shown by the comments to this article:

Religion and a criminal perversion of religion. What's the difference?

Religion is a neurosis. The fact that is leads to other strange behavior is just par for the course. I blame religion for his sexual perversion. We need to keep a good eye on those people. HaHA! They are capable of anything!

Funny how there is NO evidence linking homosexuality to pedophilism, but there's PLENTY of evidence linking relgious conservative wackos to pedophilism!!!!

Religion is a perfect way out for people low morale fiber and integrity. All you have to do is say "I believe" and all your sins go away. To them it doesn't matter how many women they rape and torture... Jesus will forgive. The bible says so!

Man has always sought a scapegoat to blame as the source of all his problems, sources such as poverty, minority groups, guns, alcohol, drugs, music, movies, television, pornography, or video games. But for the atheist, the ultimate scapegoat is religion, or what Marx referred to as the “opiate of the people.”

Atheists consider belief in God to be irrational and as such claim it leads to irrational behavior. They blame religion as the source of all our problems including war, bigotry, and hatred. Thus atheists—most notably “New Atheists” like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens—claim that the only solution is to abolish religion and faith in God.

While it is true that religion has been responsible for great evil, it has also been responsible for great good. Christianity is to blame for the Crusades, Inquisition, and Salem Witch Trials, but it’s also to blame for the Salvation Army, Alcoholics Anonymous, Habitat for Humanity, and every other charity, hospital, orphanage, and soup kitchen founded by Christians. A religion that teaches love, forgiveness, and tolerance can better hold responsibility for the actions that follow such teachings rather than actions that run counter to such teachings.

And while evil has been done In the name of religion, evil has also been done in the name of abolishing religion. Men such as Robespierre, Garrido Canabal, and Stalin were some of the bloodiest figures in history, yet all three were anti-religious and tried to abolish religion in their countries. Thus evil will exist even without religion.

There is no one source for the problems and evil in the world. Man has always been capable of evil, and has always found a scapegoat to excuse his evil. Abolishing religion will not abolish evil, only an excuse for it. It will also abolish a way for man to cope with evil, thus leaving some with an empty void.

Evil itself can never be truly abolished; only dealt with. And evil can only be dealt with when men are held accountable for their evil deeds, something that can never be done if we allow men to seek a scapegoat or allow someone else to seek a scapegoat for them.

Jimmy Carter Plays Race Card

If you follow my blog, you’ll know that my pet peeve is Obama supporters who play the race card whenever their beloved president is attacked. For the most part, many of the people playing the race card are liberal commentators whose opinions are worth jack squat in credibility—liberal douchebags such as Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, and Janeane Garofalo.

But now someone with major credibility has come up to the table to play the race card: former president Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter!

"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter told "NBC Nightly News." "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shares the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans."

"That racism inclination still exists, and I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of belief among many white people -- not just in the South but around the country -- that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply," Carter said.

If that wasn’t bad enough, he continues the myth that Joe Wilson’s outburst was racially motivated.

"I think it's based on racism. There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president," he said.

Of course! Joe Wilson shouted out “You Lie!” because Obama was a black man. It couldn’t have been because Obama was—oh, I don’t know—A LIAR!

If Joe Wilson is racist against blacks for interrupting Barack Obama, then Kanye West is racist against whites for interrupting Taylor Swift. And that happens to be the subject of a video by one of my favorite columnists “Southern Avenger” Jack Hunter.

Kanye West Worse Than Joe Wilson

I said it before in an earlier post, and I'll say it again: What Kanye West did at the MTV Video Music Awards was much worse that what Joe Wilson did during Obama's speech. While Joe Wilson only blurtted out "You Lie," Kanye West jumped on stage, snagged the microphone from Taylor Swift, and completley stole the spotlight.

In other news, Obama called West a jackass. Finally: something Obama has said that I can agree with.

Welcome Back, Jay!

Last night, Jay Leno returned to television with his new show The Jay Leno Show.

I’ve been a fan of Jay Leno since high school. I never watched his show for his guests (both regular and musical), just his monologue and segments such as Jaywalking and Headlines. To me, the opening of his show was always better than the rest of it.

Yet ever since I went to college, I haven’t watched much of The Tonight Show. You could imagine how I felt when I finally graduated from college to learn that Jay Leno was retiring that same summer.

Conan O’Brien serves as a decent replacement, though I don’t really care for him that much. Then again, I never really cared for him when he hosted Late Night (I think Jimmy Fallon actually does a better job).

Well, now Jay’s back with a new show, which I watched last night. It’s the same as his old show but with a new order. When he hosted the Tonight Show, his typical show would be monologue, funny segment, guest star, and musical guest. He still has the same order, but with the funny segments scattered throughout the show. I’m guessing Jay figured that most people (like myself) enjoyed his show for the funny segments; so to keep people watching his show, he scattered the funny segments throughout it.

Well, it worked for me.

The only thing I didn’t care for (other than the guests, who I never cared for) was the segment about the car wash, which I found to be absolutely pointless. Other than that, the show was fantastic. Jay Leno proved funny as always. And he managed to save the best for last: Headlines.

Adultery Website Advertises on Television

Commercials for singles hotlines and erectile dysfunction treatment were bad enough. Now there are commercials for “married dating and affairs” services? What has this country come to?

"Live is Short. Have an Affair."

So ends a truly disgraceful television commercial for the "married dating and affairs" website AshleyMadison.com.

Readers might recall that the MRC's Brent Bozell wrote in February about how the NFL refused to allow this organization's commercials to be broadcast during this year's Super Bowl.

According to National Review's Kathryn Jean Lopez, the following ad by this adultery advocate actually aired on MSNBC last Wednesday during -- of all things! -- the post-presidential address commentary (h/t Hot Air):

That websites like this exist is certainly not shocking.

But that national cable outlets would air their commercials certainly is.

Of course, what should one expect from a network that actually gives Keith Olbermann a stage from which to spew his moronic vitriol?

Exit question: Are television commercials promoting adultery about to become as commonplace as ads for curing erectile dysfunction?

Readers are advised that the exact time this ad aired last Wednesday is not known. As such, it is possible this was part of a local cable purchase and not broadcast nationally.

Here’s the commercial:

I say it again: What has this country come to?

If this adultery-pushing website needs a new idea for a commercial, here’s a proposed script:

Are you married? Is your wife no longer the goddess she once was on your honeymoon? Are your kids becoming a pain in your rear? Ever wished you could start over on your love life?

We at AshleyMadison.com can help. Allow us to set you up with someone 10x hotter than your boring old wife.

Who knows? Maybe if your affair really heats up, you can get the courage to dump your ball-and-chain and her brats and start a new life with your mistress. And if things don’t work out with your new marriage, we’ll always be here to hook you up with someone hotter.

AshleyMadison.com: Breaking homes is our expertise.

But perhaps that commercial would reveal the company’s true nature.

Joe Wilson Apologized; Get Over It, Dems!

Joe Wilson already apologized for his “You Lie!” outburst; yet because one apology doesn’t seem to be enough for the Democrats, Joe has to set the Dems straight:

Rep. Joe Wilson said Sunday he will not apologize again for yelling out that President Obama lied during the president's speech to Congress last week.

"I am not going to apologize again," the South Carolina Republican said on "FOX News Sunday" when asked about pending disciplinary steps against him by the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives.

Wilson said he already apologized to Obama and that the president accepted it. However, he insisted that Obama "was misstating the facts," and that Democratic leaders in the House were "playing politics" by continuing to focus on the issue.

House Democrats plan to censure Wilson if he refuses to apologize on the House floor this week.

While I admire Joe for calling out Obama for being the liar he is, I understand that the House floor was the wrong time and place to do so. Joe admitted his mistake and apologized for it. That should be enough, but apparently not for the Democrats.

Joe already apologized. One apology is enough. You either accept it or you don’t. You do not need another apology from this man.

Seriously, what Kayne West did last night during the MTV Video Music Awards was worse that what Joe did. Blurting out “You Lie!” during a speech is one thing; Storming on stage, grabbing the speaker’s microphone, and stealing the spotlight is quite another.

And just to show how Joe Wilson could have been worse, here’s a video (albeit a poorly made one) I found on YouTube:

Bound To Happen: Joe Wilson Called ‘Racist’

Why am I not surprised by this story?

According to MSNBC’s David Shuster on Friday, South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson shouting ‘you lie’ to President Obama was racism on display: “The fact that Joe Wilson is from South Carolina...it strikes a lot of people as awfully close to the idea that maybe there was some sort of racist or bigoted element there.”

During the segment late in the 3PM ET hour, Shuster spoke with Reverend Jesse Jackson, wondering: “What role, if any, do you believe that bigotry is playing in some of this venom toward President Obama?” Jackson seized on the opportunity to cry racism: “Well, substantial. There is a struggle between the hope of going forward and the fear of going backwards....the big C-word, conservative, for some that means fiscal, for some, it means religious ethics, for some it means a code word for race.”

Yup, Joe has finally been called a racist, just like everyone else who has ever opposed Obama: tea party protestors, town hall protestors, the New York Post editorial cartoon, and the Obama Joker posters. Seems like anyone who opposes Obama (and happens to be white) is, by default, a racist.

Wonder when Obama fanboys will stop playing the race card and grow up?

Pro-Life Activist Shot; Mainstream Media Notices

I’m surprised this story is being covered by the mainstream media.

OWOSSO, Mich. -- A Michigan prosecutor said a man has been charged in the shooting deaths of an anti-abortion activist and a business owner and that he planned to kill a third man.

Shiawassee County Prosecutor Randy Colbry said Harlan James Drake is accused of shooting 63-year-old James Pouillon and 61-year-old Mike Fuoss Friday morning. It was not immediately clear whether he had an attorney.

Pouillon was protesting at 7:20 a.m. outside Owosso High School, about 70 miles northwest of Detroit, when he was gunned down in front of horrified students and parents.

Pouillon is a well-known anti-abortion activist who has traveled across the state, carrying signs to support his cause, according to Owosso Police Chief Michael Compeau.

Judy Climer, president of Flint Right to Life, described Pouillon to the Flint Journal as "just a nice, elderly gentleman who was disabled, used an oxygen tank and wore leg braces."

Pouillon was not a member of the organization.

Pouillon was involved in a pro-life free speech case several years ago after he was arrested for standing on city hall steps.

He won the case after an appeals court judge said city hall was a public place and Pouillon was within his First Amendment right to protest abortion there.

Pouillon was awarded a dollar.

One parent who did not want her name to be released said, "He has never really bothered nobody."

Pouillon staged abortion protests almost every day for more than ten years.

The Missionaries to the Preborn sent out a release describing Pouillon as a "selfless, soft-spoken, kind-hearted man."

Investigators said that Drake had a grudges against all three men, though not necessarily for the same reason.

The full motives have not been released but in regards to Pouillon, Colbry did say that, “the defendant was offended by the manner of Mr. Pouillion’s message.”

When it comes to violence in the abortion debate, the mainstream media usually focuses on the violence committed by the pro-life side such as abortionist shootings and clinic bombings, aiding the false impression that only the pro-life side engages in violence. The mainstream media usually ignores the violence committed by the pro-choice side, which is usually covered by independent sources such as LifeSiteNews.

This is the first instance I can think of where the mainstream media has covered violence committed against the pro-life community rather than by it. Yet the mainstream media probably won’t give this story the same attention it gave to the shooting of Dr. George Tiller, and considering the overall liberal bias of the mainstream media, I don’t expect it to.

On the other hand, LifeSiteNews has additional coverage of this story:

Well-Known Local Pro-Life Activist Gunned Down in Michigan

Pro-Life Leaders Lament the Violent Death of a Friend and Ally - Jim Pouillon

New Social, Health Care, & War Policy

Recently stumbled across this joke in a newsletter called "Chit Chat." Enjoy!

Here's a program that could save us billions! Instead of dropping bombs and putting our military in harms way, we do something a little different. Here's the Plan: The United States rounds up all illegal aliens, convicted street gang members, prostitutes, drug peddlers & addicts, all 3x offenders, perverts and ACLU attorneys; then we load them, on bombers, (with parachutes of course), and air drop them over Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan.

The ACLU will form a Taliban chapter called the TCLU - and as the aliens, thugs, street gang members, drug addicts, & prostitutes “Do Their Thing" in their new homeland it'll only be a matter of months before our enemies' economy will be destroyed from within. The Taliban will surrender and wonder: "What is this new evil the United States has unleashed"? Just think of the savings in prison costs, welfare, medical care, street maintenance and taxes.

Now that's a policy I would vote for!

Penn and Teller’s Latest “Bull****!” is Bull****

Believe it or not, I am a fan of Penn & Teller: Bull****!, a television series dedicated to debunking myths and fads such as feng sui, global warming, alternative medicine, and ESP. But while I agree with many of their episodes, I also strongly disagree with many of their others.

Take their latest episode about the Vatican, for example.

As a Protestant, I could care less about the Catholic Church; but even I realize that, though it has been responsible for many atrocities in the past, the Church has become more humanitarian in the present.

I also realize that, since Catholics make up 65% of all Christians, an attack against the Church can also be viewed as an attack on Christianity. Considering that Penn Jillette and Teller are both atheists who have dedicated episodes to debunking the Bible and creationism, such an attack can safely be inferred.

And it didn’t take long for Catholics to become up-in-arms against this episode. The day after the episode was released, Bill Donahue, president of the Catholic League, decried the episode in a press release, claiming “I have never seen a more defamatory, obscene and vicious show on TV.”

But not only was the episode defamatory, but fallacious as well.

Today, the MediaReport.com released an article highlighting 14 fallacious claims made during the episode. Here’s a sample of the article:

1. Before he became Pope Benedict XVI, Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, in 2001, issued a "confidential order to every bishop" and "ordered the cover-up" of sex abuse.

As canon lawyer Ed Peters wrote years ago, the Vatican published Ratzinger's document in its official journal when it was first issued. Catholic press reported on the document in early 2002. The Vatican also posted the document on its web site.

In other words, nothing was ever "confidential." Not ... even ... close. As far as Jillette's wild charges of a "cover-up," keep reading.

Not surprisingly, Penn and Teller have been known to stretch the truth in their show. In their episode on recycling, they claimed that recycling paper actually creates more pollution than throwing it away, a claim they based off a discredited source. In their episode on second-hand smoke, they claimed second-hand smoke did not lead to cancer, a claim they later admitted was wrong.

But what else can you expect from two skeptics who admit that they’re “biased as f***k”?

Don’t like my opinion? Don’t blame me. Blame the 1st!

ACLU Upset Over Honolulu “Body Odor” Bill

From USA Today:

Transit riders in Honolulu better clean up their act.

The City Council is considering a bill that will make it illegal to "bring onto transit property odors that unreasonably disturb others or interfere with their use of the transit system, whether such odors arise from one's person, clothes, articles, accompanying animal or any other source."

Councilman Rod Tam, a co-sponsor of the bill, explained why it is needed:

"As we become more inundated with people from all over the world, their way of taking care of their health is different. Some people, quite frankly, do not take a bath every day and therefore they may be offensive in terms of their odor."

As someone who frequently takes the bus, I consider this bill a breath of relief (excuse the pun). The last thing I want to deal with in a bus crammed with people is strong body odor.

No deodorant, no service? Who could possibly be against such a policy?

The local chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and council member Charles Djou said they are worried the bill is onerous and too broadly worded.

"We are obviously concerned about laws that are inherently vague, where a reasonable person cannot know what conduct is prohibited," said Daniel Gluck, of ACLU Hawaii. "Vague laws — like the proposed 'odor' ban — open the door to discriminatory enforcement based on an officer's individual prejudices."

Discriminatory enforcement? Discriminatory against who? People who don’t take baths?

The bill is too vague and broadly worded?

…odors that unreasonably disturb others or interfere with their use of the transit system…

Doesn’t sound vague to me!

And now for some stand-up: You might be kicked off the bus if…

  • when the bus arrives at the bus stop, the tires melt.
  • the flies circling around you need to pay separate bus fare.
  • the second you step on, the driver thinks he ran over a skunk.

“[Town hall meetings are] the essence of democracy, we should hear from each other. We agree or disagree, we should have respectful town hall meetings. I understand the anger and the passion; but what’s the point if we yell at each other?…We shouldn’t yell at each other. We should work together.”

“It’s not the quality of healthcare in America that is the problem, it’s the cost of healthcare.”

“I think Americans are smarter than we ever give them credit for, and they’re very concerned about the debt and the deficit…I think they worry about their kids and their grandkids. I think this plays into the whole concern about healthcare reform because the Congressional Budget Office has said it costs another trillion dollars or so.”

“I’d like to remind you that [Afghanistan] was the place where Al-Qaeda trained for the attacks on 9/11. So we don’t want Afghanistan to go back to a country from which an attack would be launched on the United States and our allies.”

Grassroots Organization Pulls Page Calling Town Hall Protesters “Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists”

Grassroots organization Organizing for America recently promoted a phone campaign to be held on September 11 (Patriot Day) when members would call their state senators and urge them to support the healthcare reform bill. The website soon took down the page promoting the campaign. A screenshot of the page can be seen on the Heritage Foundation blog, while a full transcript can be found on the National Review Online.

So why was the page taken down? Perhaps it was due to its poor choice of words:

All 50 States are coordinating in this – as we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped to a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly re-seizing power for their treacherous leaders.

First town hall protesters were called racists; now they’re called terrorists. What next? Fascists? I wouldn’t be surprised!

“Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists?” People who shoot security guards or abortionists are terrorists. People who blow up buildings are terrorists. People who fly planes into buildings are terrorists. People who belong to PETA are terrorists. But people who disrupt town hall meetings are NOT terrorists. Annoying douchebags? Yes. Terrorists? No.

DO YOU WANT to ensure passage of the Public Plan? Since 75% of Americans support it, I guess it's time for us Seventy-Five Percenters to be heard. Why Public Plan? = Because It’s American To Take Care Of Our Own!

The healthcare reform bill is a good thing because 75% of Americans support it?

52% of Californians supported the decision to keep marriage between a man and a woman. I doubt Organizing for America considers Proposition 8 a good thing. Democrats only care about democracy when it supports their political agenda.

And, according to a White House Advisor to the President with whom I spoke ten days ago at a DNC Panel, he said, "ON ONE DAY you 'burn-up' the Senate Switchboards - THE NEXT DAY you've got the Senator's attention". We will achieve that effect, on Friday, Patriot Day 9/11.

So people who disrupt town hall meetings are terrorists, but people who “‘burn-up’ the Senate Switchboards” (perhaps literally) are not? You have to love left-wing irony.

—-* RECLAIM OUR LAND FROM THE HEIRS OF, YES: BIN LADEN *—-* YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE *—-

In case you haven't seen it in the News: Republican Representatives, Senators, GOP Party Leader, GOP Political Machine top personnel (e.g., Gingritch), etc etc etc —- they're ALL every one of them applauding and encouraging their zealot-horde by merrily referring to them as "Proud Right-Wing Terrorists". Google it - I'm not pulling your leg.

So not only are town hall protesters terrorists, but "heirs of Bin Laden?” as well. You have to love left-wing rhetoric.

But don't hate them: Misguided citizens are easy-pickings for demagogues, whom they blindly follow because they’ve been trained all their lives not to question the dogma of their religion, so it’s natural for them NOT TO QUESTION what’s being spoon-fed to them by their FALSE PROPHETS who, themselves, shamelessly seek Worldly Glory.

This paragraph could easily describe those who support the healthcare reform bill, including those in Organizing for America. But hey, it takes one to know one!

I’m really not surprised by all this name-calling. Seems like every Democrat, from congresswoman Nancy Pelosi to activist Janeane Garofalo, has a new name for town hall protesters. I wonder when Democrats will just grow up and stop calling people names?

Crazy Pastor Prays for Obama’s Death

I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; just of those who profess it:

A Phoenix-area pastor has started to draw protesters to his congregation after he delivered a sermon titled, "Why I Hate Barack Obama," and told his parishioners that he prays for President Obama's death.

Pastor Steven Anderson stood by his sermon in an interview with MyFOXPhoenix, which reports that the pastor continues to encourage his parishioners to join him in praying for the president's death.

"I hope that God strikes Barack Obama with brain cancer so he can die like Ted Kennedy and I hope it happens today," he told MyFOXPhoenix on Sunday. He called his message "spiritual warfare" and said he does not condone killing.

You don’t condone killing? Gee, I guess that’s why you want Obama dead!

In Anderson's controversial sermon, delivered at his Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe before Obama arrived for a speech in Phoenix earlier in the month, the pastor said he wants the president to "melt like a snail" with salt on it.

"I'm gonna pray that he dies and goes to hell when I go to bed tonight. That's what I'm gonna pray," he told his congregation.

I believe a quote from online movie reviewer Confused Matthew best describes this pastor: “I think you’ve mistaken God for Don Corleone!”

Seriously, I don’t like Obama, but I don’t agree with this pastor either. I believe it was irresponsible of him to abuse his position by preaching hatred toward Obama and telling his congregation to pray for Obama’s death.

I give this pastor credit, though: at least he’s not as crazy as Fred Phelps.

Don’t like my opinion? Don’t blame me. Blame the 1st!
