  1. Came across your website. Lots of interesting stuff. Actually registered with the Libertarians in 2008 because I couldn't vote for either McCain or Obama.

Read through your "Questions for Conservatives." Kudos for some of the good stuff on numbers, facts and figures. But you have lots of points that are really a bit off the mark.

You speak of USA and Islam in an attempt to draw a conclusion that the USA is too heavily invested overseas. While I'd agree with your overall direction, you seem to show a lack of understanding of Islam that pops up in several questions. Are you aware that Thomas Jefferson fought against Islam in the late 1700s? You ask why it's wrong to teach Islam in the schools. How much do you really know about the life of Muhammad and Islam in general? My guess is not much.

You also talk about Biblical texts. Your writings show a great deal of ignorance. Leviticus was a code for Levite priests written by Moses. Other than historical reference, it has no relevance to modern day Christians. You also talk about prohibitions against cheeseburgers. Those "laws" again were written in the days of Moses for the Jews after exodus from Egypt. The "Torah" (first five books of the Bible) are historical in nature rather than religious dictates for modern Christians. Jews were prohibited from cooking meat in its mother's milk for health reasons, not for theological reasons. Moreover, the old testament was retired under Jeremiah 31:33 and laws from the old testament do not even apply to modern Christians at all. You and I can now eat lobster and shrimp guilt free. Doing so breaks no Biblical restrictions.

I'd urge you to spend some time reviewing your 100 questions. I found quite a few errors.

    1. To Mr. Tom Odell, as a Muslim woman who studies religion, I'd like to ask you what it is you think you know about Muhammad and Islam that the author does not? As a member of the faith which you imply you understand, may I point out out that any ideas you have collected about Islam and Muhammad that came from any Hadith books or sunnah stories are historically inaccurate and held by many true Muslims to be lies. Please tell me where you may have gotten any info on my faith that did not come from the pens of men who lived years after Muhammad died and knew little to nothing about him.
I would also like to know where you got any information regarding Thomas Jefferson's attitude toward Islam not including, of course the barbary coast invasion, as this situation dealt with pirates who lived in violation of the Quran by causing great mischief in the land. So they were, therefore by definition, not Muslim. Indeed Mr. Jefferson owned and read a Quran and taught himself the language and ways of Muslims who he would have called musselmen or mohamedans. Mr. Jefferson even hosted the first white house Iftar which is the fast breaking meal of Ramadan. He sounds pretty accepting of Islam.
