Good Friday - "Jesus Was Guilty of Loving Me"

"Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." - Isaiah 53 :4-5

To all my brothers and sisters in Christ, I wish you all a happy Good Friday. To honor this day, allow me to share this video of "Jesus Was Guilty of Loving Me" by the Old Path Quartet:

He was tried, convicted, and sentenced to die.
For a crime no one understood, yet they shouted, “Crucify.”
Pilate said, “One shall go free, so which man will it be?”
They cried “Jesus has to die." He was guilty of loving me.

There was no fault found in Him; there was no evil found,
Yet God’s precious holy Lamb was nailed to a tree!
If tender mercy was His only crime,
So that grace could be yours and mine,
Then Jesus was guilty of loving me.

In the halls of judgment, they thought they’d sealed his fate,
But holy destiny was calling Him to that hill far away.
Pilate said, “Behold the Man; I find no fault in Him."
If they could have just understood,
He was guilty of loving them!

There was no fault found in Him; there was no evil found,
Yet God’s precious holy Lamb was nailed to a tree!
If tender mercy was His only crime,
So that grace could be yours and mine,
Then Jesus was guilty of loving me.
