Most of the Nostalgia Critic’s more recent reviews have been hit or miss for me—mostly miss. I just don’t feel they have the same edge his older reviews had, as none of them have been that memorable (save his review of Heavy Metal with Diamanda Hagan).
But his recent review of Signs was a definite hit.
This one contained some really hilarious gags, from the mock conversation between the aliens (WOOD!) to what must be his most epic breakdown since that in Battlefield Earth and The Haunting.
Who knew that an alien species with advanced technology could be easily defeated by wooden doors, baseball bats, and water? And this was a critically acclaimed movie?
