Is it a day that ends with ‘y’? Then it seems that AlterNet has published another anti-libertarian screed. Yet again. For the umpteenth time!
This one is titled “Libertarianism is for petulant children”, so you know this is a formal essay of only the highest academic standards—either that or yet another knee-jerk reactionary polemic written to confirm the anti-libertarian biases of the website’s audience rather than an honest attempt to debate libertarians on the merits of their political philosophy. (My vote is for the latter.)
You know what? Screw it. I’m not going to bother reading it. If anything, it’s going to contain the exact same strawmen, logical fallacies, and insipid talking points that every libertarian and their grandmother has debunked, yet statists continue to regurgitate ad nauseam.
Instead, I’m just going to post this statist bingo card containing the talking points that this screed has most likely rehashed. If you’re a masochist, by all means read the article for yourself and tell me if I won a bingo.
