Keep The Dream Alive. #DropTheSuit
In 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. marched with millions in Washington D.C. to demand that black children be able to attend the same schools as their white peers.
Recently, in my home state of Florida, his son marched with thousands in Tallahassee to demand that teacher unions drop a lawsuit challenging an education voucher program, which would have ensured that poor children could attend the same schools as their more affluent peers.
All children, regardless of background or income, should have the same access to education. That access should include the choice as to what education they wish to pursue, be it public, private, charter, parochial, or home. Such access can only be made possible when money follows the student, not the school.
Demand equality in education for all children. Stand on the right side of history. Keep the dream alive. Drop The Suit.
