The First Jewish Nazi

Yes, this is clearly breaking Godwin's Law. And yes, it very well may be distasteful to compare a Jewish man who may have had relatives killed in the Holocaust to the same soldiers who killed said relatives. But quite frankly, I don't care! If a politician holds political views that are both nationalist and socialist, is it really a stretch to call them a "national socialist"?

Yes, Bernie is a nationalist because he supports protectionist policies through his opposition to free trade and open borders in an effort to protect "national interests." Yes, he is a socialist because he calls himself such and supports socialist policies that redistribute the wealth. He is a nationalist. He is a socialist. That makes him a national socialist.

And yes, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were socialists, and not simply because they had "socialist" in their names. Socialism was in his words and policies. History proves as much. Go educate yourself!

And before you claim that the main difference is that Hitler was a warmonger and Bernie is a "peace dove", I suggest you look over his voting record. Bernie has a long history of supporting military spending and activities. (When the left-wing Alternet calls you out on your war hawkish behavior, you know you are a war hawk!)

The only real difference between Bernie Sanders and actual Nazis is that Bernie isn’t racist. He’s not exactly calling for any ethnic groups to be placed into concentration camps. However, that doesn’t negate the fact that many of the “progressive” polices he supports, including minimum wage, have racist connotations to them. So at best, he’s not overtly racist, but his polices stink of subtle racism.
