VGM Monday: Imagined Kingdom Hearts Music

With Kingdom Hearts III on the horizon, fans are wondering what new Disney worlds will make an appearance. With new worlds come new music, causing many fans to wonder what the new music for these worlds will sound like. Some of the more musically-inclined fans have taken the opportunity to create samples of what they think that new music will sound like, and it’s that music which I’m showcasing for this post.

Last year, one of the new worlds revealed for the game was the Kingdom of Corona from Tangled. Personally, I wasn’t a big of the movie’s soundtracks, as most of the songs were rather forgettable. However, Blue Nctrn did an excellent job of taking the movie’s music and incorporating them into potential field and battle music for the upcoming world.

Another world revealed last year was San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6. As with Tangled, Blue Nctrn also created his versions of what the world’s music would sound like, incorporating electronica beats to add to the sci-fi feel of the movie’s world.

Of course, with Frozen being Disney’s biggest cash cow at the moment, we can only assume that Arendale will be a potential KH3 world. It really does seem inevitable, which is why Blue Nctrn also created world and battle music for that world. I have to say, I’d never imagine that “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” would make for epic battle music.

Since we’re all going out on a limb here, wouldn’t it be interesting if Gravity Falls received it own world? It’s currently the most popular animated series on the Disney Channel, and fans have been wanting to see a Gargoyles world in the games, so a world based on an animated television series doesn’t seem out of the question. Besides, who wouldn’t want to see Sora and friends team up with the Dipper Twins and go head-to-head against Bill Cipher?
