Fan Art Friday: Tale As Old As Time

Beauty and the Beast truly is a tale as old as time, which is why it's told time and again, both in animated and live-action. With the recent release of Disney's live-action version, I'd like to celebrate this classic with this week's Fan Art Friday.

You really have to admire fan art when it surpasses the real artwork of Disney itself. Now that's true inspiration!

There's a common criticism that Beauty and the Beast promotes Stockholm Syndrome. That criticism is easily debunked within the remainder of the movie following this scene when Beast saves Belle. The love that the two share is clearly mutual and based upon trust, not upon manipulation. If you want an actual rebuttal of the claim that Belle suffers Stockholm Syndrome, I'd recommend reading this article.

What if the beauty was the real beast? LOL! I can almost imagine Beast in this picture watching from a far and blushing in both shock and lust. They'd certainly be a more interesting couple this way.

Why do I get the feeling that an Adventure Time parody with Fiona in the role of Belle would have been far more interesting than Disney's live-action remake?

Personally, I'd prefer MLP fan art with Discord and Fluttershy, but unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere. So I settled for this picture with Spike and Rarity. Still adorable.
