Disney XD recently released its first trailer for the DuckTales 2017 reboot. I know that's technically not "nostalgic", but it is based on a nostalgic property. So close enough?
This trailer was too epic NOT to share, and what better way to share this first look at a reboot of a nostalgic classic than during a regular feature on nostalgic classics?
Seriously, if the DuckTales theme performance by the new voice actors didn't get you hyped for this new show, then this trailer will.
I'm quite impressed by the new voice actors. The nephews may not have squeaky voices like their Uncle Donald, but I'm sure our eardrums will appreciate that.
Also, David Tennant as Uncle Scrooge is totes epic as I'd imagine him to be. To think that the Tenth Doctor is playing the most famous billionaire duck. How cool is that? Sure, he's not Alan Young, but then again, who is?
And did anyone else get a Gravity Falls Mabel vibe from Webby's new voice? Because she sounds and acts just like Mabel. I'll gladly take eccentric Webby over the cutsey-wootsey old one.
If there's any reason to continue living through 2017 under Fuher Trump, this new reboot is certainly it. Let's just hope the nukes don't launch anytime before then.
Of course, we can be more than certain that, even when humanity ends, the DuckTales theme will never leave. (It will never leave, it will never leave!)
